dSavannah’s Holiday Gift Guide

Christmas_tree

Well, it’s that time of year: the holidays. And yes, I say holidays, because it could be any number of them for you: Kwaanza, Hanukkah, Christmas, Ramadan, etc. Plus, if you’re in the Western Hemisphere, you celebrate the New Year.

And most people do some sort of gift-swapping celebration, so I am here to help you find the perfect gift for that special someone, without ever stepping foot in a store. (You’re welcome.)

First of course, you can purchase something from me. 🙂 I am an artist, after all, as well as an author and rambler. Hop over to my Facebook page, grab the 50% off code for my artfire store, then hop over there and go shopping! (The code is good through Dec. 19.) I have other stuff on my website, so go look there too. If you contact me, I’ll extend the 50% off to that, if you give me the code. 😉

Other great places to shop for art and music and stuff (and they have no idea I’m doing this, and no, I don’t get any kickback, except a teensy tinsy affiliate fee if you go to Amazon from one of my links):

  • Catbird Studios: she paints, makes aprons, etc.
  • Coreen’s Greens: Coreen answered The Questions a while back; she makes oil synergies and awesome balms.
  • Stu Jenks: also answered The Questions; he has music and books and photographic prints. All gorgeous.
  • Patchouli: nope, not the oil. A band. Love them. Bruce also paints.
  • Griffin House: my very very favorite musician. Seriously. I’ve met a ton of famous people (including but not limited to Jane Fonda and Kermit the Frog), and meeting John Griffin was the first time I actually got all fan girl and couldn’t speak.
  • Faerie Goatmother: makes awesome soaps with milk from her very own goats. And she’s a dear, dear person.
  • Arlene Holtz: painter. I own a small piece, and I love it.
  • WrensEye by Susan Elaine: one of my dear friends. She is uber-talented. Makes jewelry, dolls and figurines, and my coat for Dragon*Con. (No you can’t have my coat.)

Books by authors I know and love (all links, except The Questions, go to Amazon):

  • KD McCrite: you will LOVE the Confessions of April Grace series (YA). Trust me. She answered The Questions. Literature.
  • Chuck Walsh: I had the honor and joy of editing his book The Splintered Dream. And I LOVE this book. With all my heart. Literature. Answered The Questions.
  • Chad A. Clark: I created the original covers for his two books. 🙂 Answered The Questions.
  • Charles de Lint: one of my two Very Favorite Authors. My favorite book is Someplace to be Flying. Urban Fantasy.
  • Terry Pratchett: #GNU. one of my two Very Favorite Authors. My favorite books is Mort. Fantasy.
  • Joshilyn Jackson: she lives here in Atlanta. 🙂  Women’s Literature.
  • Shari Shattuck: The two Ellen books are divine. Literature.
  • Nnedi Okarafor: scary sci-fi. Also YA. She’s also a teacher.
  • Andrew Smith: YA. #KeepYAWeird. Amazing books.

So there ya go. Happy Holidays to all my dear fans and readers!
