I’m sorry to have to tell you this, dear readers, but some horrible stuff happens in this world of ours.
Kids get sexually, emotionally, and physically abused.
Women get raped. Kids get raped. Men get raped.
Women get abused by the person who is supposed to take care of them. And they stay, because they don’t think they have a choice.
People get treated like s*&# and their dreams trampled into the dirt.
I believe that part of my job here on this planet is to talk about these bad things. To shine light on those dark places, and illuminate them. If we can’t see them, we can’t fix them. If we see them, and turn a blind eye, we’re just as culpable.
Well, I’m going to do something. And what I’m gonna do is write. I’m gonna shine my light, my words, my being, on the dark places. It’s gonna hurt, because this darkness is part of my story. I know it intimately.
So it won’t be too overwhelming, I’m going to write these in short(ish) posts, with a specific topic, and post them maybe once a week. It might hurt you to read them. But I hope you do so anyway. And comment, and share. And let those who are suffering know they are not alone.
Despite the pain, I’m gonna shine on.

Bravo, You! I deeply believe that by not shining light into dark places…not speaking of them…we allow the evil that lurks there to grow and fester, believing it has more power than it does. Thank you for speaking up.
