Over the years I have been fortunate enough to win a few awards for my writing (though not much money!).
I also won ribbons in the 2007 County & District Fairs. Click here to see pictures and read about it!

I have been published a number of times in various literary magazines. Going to graduate school (while working full time) decreased my energy for writing, and of course, submitting my work for publication.
I was asked to write a serial story for the international quarterly publication Calling Earth (now defunct). The story I wrote, Who Named It Love?, was published in 14 parts from 1994-1997. As you can see below, they also published a number of my poems. Sadly, Poets, Artists & Madmen is no longer around either. Ramifications is the literary magazine of Berry College. I had the honor and pleasure of serving as editor my senior year (and winning awards for it too!).

Although I have been writing and entering contests and submitting my work for publication for a long time, I only recently began exhibiting at art shows and festivals.
